President & Chief Executive Officer
Andy Shoulders is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Handex, where he is responsible for driving sales, operations, and financial performance with a disciplined focus on growth, execution, and operational excellence. He is known for building high-performance organizations by attracting, developing, and empowering talent, and for fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and results. Safety is non-negotiable in his leadership approach and is embedded into every aspect of the organization.
Prior to Handex, Andy served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Summit Contracting, LLC, where he led significant growth and profitability across environmental remediation and industrial services within the oil & gas, chemical, and pulp & paper industries. His leadership included overseeing complex, large-scale projects in some of the most demanding operational environments.
Throughout his career, Andy has worked with Fortune 100 companies across the railroad, petroleum, utility, chemical manufacturing, and pulp & paper sectors. He has led organizations through highly complex environmental and industrial challenges while consistently delivering strong financial performance and maintaining an uncompromising commitment to safety and operational discipline.
With more than 35 years of leadership experience, Andy has built and scaled organizations from the ground up, driving revenue growth while instilling a culture rooted in safety, customer focus, and leadership development. He is recognized for aligning strategy with execution and delivering measurable, sustainable results.
Andy holds three degrees from the University of Evansville, a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies, a Master of Science in Public Service, and an MBA, and has completed advanced training in emergency response and spill control through Texas A&M University and the Security and Emergency Response Training Center. He is licensed in multiple states and has been recognized with industry honors, including a contractor service award from CSX Transportation.
Andy resides in Central Florida with his wife and daughter.
