Handex is proud to announce that exactly one month ago, on January 24, 2016, we reached a huge milestone of 600 days without any worksite injuries. This accomplishment represents our commitment to health and safety while demonstrating our ability to maintain a culture of accountability.
Handex emphasizes safety as a core value on every worksite. Not only do we value the health and safety of our employees, we know that customers will benefit as well. Companies want to hire sub-contractors with a reputation for safety as any injury on their property can affect their incident rates, as well.
Our employees participate in frequently held safety meetings and worksite supervisors promote a sense of family to ensure all workers are looking out for one another. We really strive to make safety a tenet of our company culture. Not only are all Handex employees 40 hour HAZWOPER trained, they are fully trained in the Loss Prevention System (LPS), as well. LPS is a proactive behavioral based safety program designed to focus on leading indicators. Handex empowers each employee to be a safety specialist by encouraging hazard recognition and mitigation reporting. We also have zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol and perform random drug testing.
Promoting health and safety at work is a sure way to reduce liabilities. At Handex, we invest everything into the health and safety of all our company personnel. Here are a few tips for promoting awareness throughout your company:
For over four decades, Handex has been dedicated to protecting the health and safety of our employees and clients. In fact, we are proud to say that we have one of the best safety cultures in the industry. Many accidents are preventable and it is possible to achieve zero harm or injury. A safe workplace promotes productivity, efficiency and high satisfaction among workers and clients alike.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Handex employees who have worked together to help us achieve this monumental objective and ask everyone to continue working toward another 600 days of accident-free work!
