Christian J. Holmström is a professional engineer for Handex. Christian currently serves as the Engineer-of-Record for the Handex offices in Florida and New Jersey. He also manages the engineering, assessment and O&M departments in our Tampa office. Christian is responsible for the preparation and creation of site assessments and remediation system designs, and the management of the construction of those projects.
Christian has over 23 years of engineering experience, with 18 of those years as a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. He has completed and managed a wide variety of Phase I and petroleum site assessments; pilot testing and implementation of air sparge (AS); soil vapor extraction (SVE); multi-phase extraction (MPE); biological/chemical injections technologies; remediation system designs; remedial action construction proposals; contaminated soil removal; waste handling and disposal; construction and oversight; permitting along with city, county, and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) roads; Underground Injection Control (UIC) permitting; National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) discharge permitting; regulatory coordination, operation and maintenance of remediation systems; site closures; and emergency response.
Christian received his Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering from the University of Florida. He is a current member of the Tampa Bay Association of Environmental Professionals (TBAEP). When he is not working, Christian enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, skiing, coaching his kids’ sports teams, and traveling.
