Ted Keffer is a senior project manager for Handex. As a senior project manager for Handex, Ted is responsible for managing a portfolio of various job sites, including planning, directing, coordinating and supervising project managers, field staff and contract workers. Additionally, Ted ensures any of his projects that are completed meets or exceeds clients expectations. He also works with project managers to ensure completion of projects on time and within budget.
Ted is a licensed Professional Geologist (PA, NY, WI) and Licensed Site Remediation Professional (NJ) with over 30 years of experience in the environmental industry. This experience includes managing several operating divisions involved with the execution of environmental investigation and remediation projects including consulting, construction, drilling, maintenance, and sampling in addition to handling specific project technical requirements. Ted has managed and supervised projects at a variety of sites, including industrial, commercial, residential, municipal and state facilities, involving a variety of contaminants including chlorinated solvents, petroleum products, PAH’s, metals, and PCB’s. He has managed both individual sites and multi-site portfolios in more than 25 states. Ted has experience in all project phases from the initial preliminary assessment and site investigation, through the remedial investigation and remedial action work plan, to implementation of the remedial action and issuing the remedial action report and response action outcome (RAO). He also has experience with environmental compliance projects.
Ted obtained his Bachelor of Arts in geology from Franklin and Marshall College. He has taken post-graduate classes in geophysics, engineering, and business management. Ted is a member of the NJLSRP Association, and continues to attend various professional continuing education seminars and classes on a variety of topics.
