Joseph Lundquist is a senior engineer for Handex. Joseph is responsible for providing professional engineering support for all of Handex’s offices throughout the state of Florida.
Joseph has approximately 23 years of engineering experience in the environmental field and has been a registered professional engineer in the state of Florida for 15 years. He has extensive experience in all phases of contamination assessment; remediation design, installation, operation and maintenance services; and site closure endpoint strategies.
Joseph has been the project manager and design engineer for Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Turnpike Enterprise and several private sector clients since 2003. In 2004, Joseph designed the largest air sparge/soil vapor extraction system in the state of Florida. He became the engineer-of-record for the Port Everglades Environmental Company project beginning in 2015, providing innovative designs for free product recovery at a high-profile port that will be undergoing major renovations (slip widening), which will require creative, one-of-a-kind designs for petroleum remediation.
Joseph was born and raised in Syosset, NY and he came to Florida in 1977. Joseph is very active in his religious community where he volunteers for his church, his daughter’s Christian school and Metropolitan Ministries. He has competed in two Ironman triathlon competitions where he finished, Ironman Mont-Tremblant in 2013 and Ironman Coeur d’Alene in 2014. Joseph has a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering from the University of Florida.
