Ryan Elser is a project manager for Handex. He is responsible for the management, coordination, execution and financial tracking of all projects under our Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 Contamination Assessment, Remediation and Environmental Support Services contract. As part of the contract, Ryan is responsible for coordinating staff, equipment and materials to be able to respond to any emergency response situations within the district.
Ryan has over 11 years of experience in the field of science, ranging from design/build engineering practices to environmental investigation and remediation. During his career in the environmental industry, Ryan has supported CAR contracts in all seven FDOT Districts. Specifically, he supported the District 7 CAR contract 8 of 10 years and is extremely familiar with the FDOT work program and part 2, chapter 22 of the Project Development and Environment Guidelines Manual. Over the years he has not only coordinated successful projects with FDOT project managers and support staff within the Planning and Environmental Management Office, he has worked with other FDOT staff members in the safety and building maintenance departments on specialized projects as well. Ryan has a strong background in transportation-based projects and brings experience, knowledge and understanding. He continues to provide cost-effective solutions to complete projects under budget, timely and most importantly, safely.
Ryan graduated from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) with a B.A. in environmental science.
