Maureen Davis is the health & safety manager for Handex. Maureen is responsible for providing effective leadership focused on compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations. She has developed and implemented Handex’s overall safety strategy, training programs, and safety practice compliance programs. Additionally, Maureen presents training courses to hundreds of employees and subcontractors on such topics as OSHA HAZWOPER, confined space entry, hazard communication, health and safety plans, emergency action planning, incident reporting and record-keeping, back injury prevention, and defensive driving.
Maureen has over 20 years of experience in occupational and public safety and health in the environmental and construction industries, as well as in law enforcement. Her experience includes medical monitoring management, facility and warehouse inspections, hazard identification and mitigation recommendations, and worksite audits to ensure compliance with company standards as well as state and federal regulations. For several of HCR’s private sector clients, Maureen has provided safety and loss prevention support to ensure compliance of internal and external regulatory requirements. She has supervised the use of necessary personal protective equipment and conducted facility audits for safety compliance.
Maureen studied Occupational Safety & Health at Columbia Southern University. In her spare time, she is active in the community and volunteers for local addiction recovery centers and food banks. Originally from Alabama, Maureen came to Florida in 1977. She lives in Central Florida with her husband.
